About

As the title suggests, this blog is a place where you can read the opinions of one man on the right-wing of the American political spectrum.  It is not your source for unbiased, balanced news.  From my years as an avid reader of many blogs, one of the (many) things I’ve learned is that blogs are as much (if not more so) a source of entertainment as they are information.  And that’s what I’m attempting to do here:  entertain and inform . . . but more on that later.

Here you will read essays, posts . . . whatever you want to call them . . . on any subject that I might find interesting at the time.  I’ll provide links to source material when applicable, but oftentimes it will just be my opinion on a given subject.  You’ll get used to it, I promise.

My preferred writing method, The Unhinged Rant™, is simply the way I choose to provide the entertainment half of the equation.  If you’re not a fan of this particular style, then this probably isn’t the place for you.  I tend to speak in broad generalizations, but so does everyone (see what I just did there?).  Broad generalizations get your point across much easier if the reader understands that the author understands that there are exceptions to every statement.  So please . . . well . . . understand that.  We’ll all get along better if I don’t have to preface every rhetorical flourish with the words, “With some exceptions . . .”

If you know me personally, you’re bound to know that I love you dearly and respect you greatly regardless of your political affiliation or your religious beliefs.  This blog is simply my outlet to voice dissent regarding those things that baffle, confound, and infuriate me in our modern, media-obsessed, attention-deficient, long-term-memory-disparaging culture.  I’m not talking directly to you, and I don’t think less of you personally for holding any of the beliefs I may derogate in my writing.  Please afford me the same courtesy.  If you get insulted by something I say, just repeat to yourself, “He’s not talking about me” . . . or even better, “I’m not being forced to read this blog.”

All that being said . . . Welcome!  Make yourself at home.
