Our Negotiations With Iran

You’ve got to be kidding me!

I feel compelled to link to a prior post after reading this.

New York’s iconic Empire State Building will light up red and yellow Wednesday in honor of the 60th anniversary of communist China.

Pardon my French, but what the #$%&* is going on in this world?!?  Everyone say it with me, “COMMUNISM ISN’T COOL!!”  It’s not just a different form of government.  It’s not just a difference of opinion.  It’s really, really bad.  How hard is it to understand that?

Wait, what?

Didn’t Joe Wilson (no, not that one) have to apologize for calling Obambi a liar for claiming that health care reform would not cover illegal aliens?

Just checking.

Nice victory you’re working on, there . . . UPDATED

So, Obama’s been in office for a little over eight months.  During the campaign, he assured us that diplomacy would be the key to solving all the world’s problems.  He even went so far as to say he’d meet with the genocidal leader of Iran without any preconditions, meaning essentially that Iran does not have to give up their nuclear ambitions or plans to “wipe Israel off the map” in order to have a nice sit-down with the President of The United States.

Obama also promised to focus on the war in Afghanistan (The Good War™) while pulling troops out of Iraq (The Bad War™).

So.  He’s going to focus on Afghanistan, and obviously he’ll talk to anyone if he’s willing to talk to Ahmadinejad.  So why is it that he has met with General Stanley McChrystal only one time in the 70 days since he took command of our forces in Afghanistan?  Well, obviously he has more important things to do.  Like speaking before the U.N.  Or lobbying for the 2016 Olympics to be held in Chicago, against the wishes of 80% of that city’s population.  (More info here on what’s basically turning out to be an extravagant vacation to Denmark.)

He’s a busy man.  And very important.  Lots of just causes to fight for.  And besides, winning a war is just . . . so 1945.

Ok, so what the heck is going on?!?!

How is it possible that anyone would think that this is okay?!?  This was recorded in February just a few weeks after Obama’s coronation . . . er, um . . I mean inauguration.  And the teacher had the gall to claim that the children wrote the “song” themselves.

Mmm, mmm, mmm, Barack Hussein Obama
He said all should lend a hand to make the country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mmm, Barack Hussein Obama
He said we must be fair today, equal work means equal pay.

Mmm, mmm, mmm, Barack Hussein Obama
He said take a stand, make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mmm, Barack Hussein Obama
He said red, yellow, black and white, all are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mmm, Barack Hussein Obama
Yeah! Barack Hussein Obama

…Hello Mr. President, We honor you today
For all your great accomplishments, we all do say hooray
Hooray, Mr. President you are No. 1
The first black American to lead this nation

Or how about this one recorded before the election?

How about instead of teaching kids bad choreography and militant loyalty to an empty suit we teach them instead, oh . . . I don’t know . . . diction maybe?

Then there’s this one?

How is it that any rational human being could see the above videos and not immediately think of this?

Or this?

I am frightened beyond measure for the future of this country if this is what is happening in our public schools.  And please, if there are any videos out there depicting this kind of worship of G.W. Bush or Reagan, post it in the comments.  I’d love to see it.  I doubt you’ll find any though.  And yes, it is WORSHIP that these kids are being taught to heap upon this charlatan.

Now, combine all of the above with this and this . . . and contrast that with this:

I have outlined a comprehensive agenda to seek the goal of a world without nuclear weapons.  In Moscow, the United States and Russia announced that we would pursue substantial reductions in our strategic warheads and launchers.  At the Conference on Disarmament, we agreed on a work plan to negotiate an end to the production of fissile materials for nuclear weapons.  And this week, my Secretary of State will become the first senior American representative to the annual Members Conference of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty.

and this:

Iran revealed the existence of a covert uranium enrichment facility to the U.N. nuclear watchdog this week after it discovered the project’s secrecy had been breached by Western intelligence agencies . . .

And we have some deadly serious problems on our hands (or should that be, “hanging over our heads”).

Batten down the hatches, folks . . . we’re in for some stormy weather.

Just Thought I’d Share This

This just showed up in my in-box, and it’s full of great facts and links, so I’m sharing it here:

The U.S. Post Service was established in 1775 – they’ve had 234 years to get it right – it is broke, and even though heavily subsidized, it still can’t compete with private sector FedEx and UPS services.

Social Security was established in 1935 – they’ve had 74 years to get it right – it is broke.

Fannie Mae was established in 1938 – they’ve had 71 years to get it right – it is broke.  Freddie Mac was established in 1970 – they’ve had 39 years to get it right – it is broke.

Together Fannie and Freddie have now led the entire world into the worst economic collapse in 80 years.  http://www.newstatesman.com/society/2008/07/housing-market-fannie-freddie

The War on Poverty was started in 1964 – they’ve had 45 years to get it right – $1 trillion of our hard earned money is confiscated each year and confiscated and transferred to “the poor” – it hasn’t worked. (John 12:8 dummies) http://www.monstersandcritics.com/news/usa/news/article_1500441.php/US-poverty-rate-hits-11-year-high

Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965 – they’ve had 44 years to get it right – they are both broke and now our government dares to mention them as models for all US health care.

AMTRAK was established in 1970 – they’ve had 39 years to get it right – last year they bailed it out as it continues to run at a loss!  http://beyondbailouts.org/?p=1139

This year, a trillion dollars was committed in the massive political payoff called the Stimulus Bill of 2009. It shows NO sign of working.  It’s been used to increase the size of governments across America, and raise government salaries while the rest of us suffer from economic hardships.  It has yet to create a single new private sector job.  Our national debt projections (approaching $10 trillion) have increased a staggering 400% in the last six months.

“Cash for Clunkers” was established in 2009 and went broke in 2009 – after 80% of the cars purchased turned out to be produced by foreign companies and dealers nationwide are buried under bureaucratic paperwork demanded by a government that is not yet paying them what was promised.

So with a perfect 100% failure rate and a record that proves that each and  every “service” shoved down our throats by an over-reaching government  turns into disaster, how could any informed American trust our government to  run or even set policies for America’s health care system – –  17% of our  economy?

Maybe each of us has a personal responsibility to let others in on this brilliant record before 2010, and then help fire (give ‘em the pink slip) those who are voting to destroy capitalism and destroy our grandchildren’s future.

So let me get this straight. We’re going to have a health care plan:

  • written by a committee whose head says he doesn’t understand it…
  • passed by a Congress that hasn’t read it but exempts themselves from it…
  • signed by a president that also hasn’t read it and who smokes…
  • with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn’t pay his taxes…
  • overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and…
  • financed by a country that’s nearly broke.

What could possibly go wrong?

The Current Financial Crisis: Blame Misplaced

September 24, 2008 Leave a comment

Okay, here’s the deal. Back in the late 90’s, it was determined (by whom? take a guess) that the reason for low levels of home ownership in the poor and minority populations was racial and class discrimination on the part of the greedy, racist fat-cats in all the major lending institutions. Therefore a Federal mandate changed the way lenders made loans. Eligibility criteria went out the window. Turning poor people into homeowners became more important than staying solvent. Basically, lenders were forced to make loans to people who would never be able to pay them back or face stiff penalties for discrimination.

You see, certain people have never understood that the unalienable right written of by the Founding Fathers was not a right to happiness, but rather a right to the pursuit of happiness. It’s only one word, but it defines two radically different worldviews. These same people believe that everyone is entitled to credit whether they can pay that credit back or not. To them, it goes like this: credit is wealth, wealth buys happiness, everyone is entitled to happiness, so everyone is entitled to credit.

Wrong, wrong, wrongity, wrong, wrong, WRONG!!!

Just because you have the RIGHT to attempt to acquire something does not mean you are ENTITLED to that thing. You have the right to own a home, regardless of anything like race, class, religion or any other Designated Victim Status™. But if you cannot afford to pay for that home, you can’t have it!! It’s not discrimination (except in the most basic, original, literal, non-PC sense of the word; look it up) to turn down a loan to someone whom you know will never pay it back.

Not everyone can afford all the latest, greatest new things that come along. Sorry, that’s life. Deal with it. If you can’t afford it, don’t buy it. Putting it on credit when you couldn’t pay cash for it can only lead to one of two things:

1) You end up spending more on it than it’s worth through the accumulation of interest, making someone who had nothing to do with its creation unfathomably wealthy; or
2) You end up not being able to pay for it at all, which means someone else will eventually have to pay for your inability to live within your means.

Does this mean that some people are going to have to live their lives in a ratty apartment that is too small, driving a ten-year-old clunker that barely runs while other people get to live in big mansions, own yachts, and travel by private jet? Yup! Is it fair? Absolutely! Some people have money, some people don’t. If you don’t like it, make some sacrifices. Odds are you could afford a nicer apartment and/or vehicle if you had just kept your old non-HD TV, disconnected your cable, shut off your cell phones, never bought that iPod, and worn the same shoes everywhere you go. Do all that, and you might get out of the hole you’ve dug yourself into with that brand new shiny shovel you just had to have the day it became available instead of waiting a couple of months for the price to drop.

It’s time we all grew up and stopped whining about those who happen to have more stuff than we do. Stuff isn’t happiness; friends and family are. You wanna know what caused our current economic problems? Class envy, pure and simple.
